A candidate, who has passed one of the following examinations from VinobaBhave University or an examination recognised by the university as equivalent thereto, shall be eligible to join M.Sc. course in Biotechnology.

• B.Sc. (Honours) or equivalent examination under 10+2+3 pattern of education in Biotechnology, Biochemistry, Microbiology, Botany, Chemistry and Zoology, with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
• B.Sc. (General) with (a) Botany, Zoology, Chemistry or (b) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics [having Biology at +2 level], with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.
• Graduate in Agriculture / Forestry / Veterinary / Medical Sciences with a minimum of 45% marks in aggregate.

The admission to M.Sc. Biotechnology course shall be made on the basis of performance of the candidate in the Entrance Aptitude Test (EAT) followed by counselling. For admission against NRI / NRI Sponsored / special payment seats, EAT is not required but the sponsored candidates shall be required to appear at Special Test including Viva-voce on a date to be decided by the department.

Total number of seats will be 25, subject to reservation of seats as per Vinoba Bhave University Rules. There are additional 5 seats for NRI / NRI Sponsored candidates on Special Payment. If these seats remain vacant, they shall be filled up by the candidates from the merit list of EAT.

This will be a full time programme to be covered in four semester of two academic session. The first part of the course shall be called M.Sc. (previous) consisting of 1st and 2nd semesters, and second part M.Sc. (final) consisting of 3rd and 4th semesters. At the end of each semester there shall be university examination.

• Rs. 25,000/- per Semester for General / OBC candidates.
• Rs. 20,000/- per Semester for SC / ST candidates.
• For NRI / NRI Sponsored candidates US$ 1350 per Semester or equivalent amount in Indian Rupees on the date of admission against payment seats.

N.B. : Course Fee may be revised by the University.

Application Form should be duly filled in. The applicant must submit the following documents (Attested / Certified Photocopies) at the time of submission of completely filled Application Form.

• Mark Sheet and Admit Card of the qualifyinf wxamination.
• Matriculation Certificate (as the proof of age).
• Charecter Certificate
• Caste / Income Certificate for (SC / ST / OBC) candidates.
• Candidate's passport size photograph.
